【个人简介】
范新岗教授,于1996年获兰州大学大气科学博士学位。1996-1998在南京大学从事博士后研究,出站后在中国气象局气象科学研究院工作。2000-2009年先后在美国阿拉斯加大学、密西西比州立大学从事科学研究工作。2009年至今任教于美国西肯塔基大学地质地理系气象专业,2015年获终身教授。兼任中国科学院大气物理研究所和成都信息工程大学客座教授。
范新岗教授科研兴趣广泛,发表的论文论著涉及中尺度极端天气事件、天气数值预报、气候预测方法、卫星遥感资料的同化应用、观测系统模拟研究、陆气相互作用(植被、土壤、喀斯特地貌、城市化等)、区域气候和全球变化、气候系统的非线性特征以预测理论等。
